Many thanks to David for those great old family photos which he has scanned, and sent round the family! I've posted them here so that we can sort out exactly who is who.
Each photo has a number, and the names are under each picture (if I get it all lined up correctly). I'll happily correct any mistakes - just let me know! Also, if you can give a rough year for any of the photos, that would be good to know?

1. Grandpa Hutton (he took his cap off for this one) and I think that must be our David Junior as a baby - at his christening? Is this taken in his garden?
2. Here's a human tower. I can see Aunt Margaret in the centre, perhaps my Gran Janet just in front of her... and the bloke at the back in uniform (with the distinctive hairdo) is..?
3. I reckon this is Margaret, Grandma Hutton? with baby Roddy, and Evelyn
4. Looks like David is a bit overwhelmed here!
5. At Charles' Christening, in 1950 or 1951, presumably in Comrie. I figure the other bairns are David, Roddy, and Isobel. The Grandparents are the Huttons (David Keay's mother & stepfather)
6. At Charles' Christening, his Godmother Margaret is holding the baby. I needed some help on the back row!
Back row far left is Bill Keay (father of the new baby Charles) and second left is Roderick Mackenzie, Margaret's husband {Thanks Roddy!}
The elderly couple on the far right are the Huttons... So is the elderly lady on the back row Charlie Hutton's sister?
7. This is, of course, the lovely Elaine. {again, thanks to Roddy}
8. This looks like my Grandma Janet (Brack) Keay - is she with her parents, William & Janet (Jessie) Brack? I know both her parents had died before her first child was born, that might help date this?
9. So is this Janet, too? Or is it Evelyn? School uniform here?
In addition to these photos, you can also see old photos of the towns of Comrie, and Crieff, and Perth - just follow those links. Also a site here all about Comrie now & then. In the galleries, you will see some old postcards with views of Comrie - including Drummond St., Glasdale and Ross Bridge.
Social History of the area:
Poorhouse at Auchterarder, see a guide here, it's an interesting site with a good timeline showing school leaving ages etc.
A smarter, flashier Timeline (Neolithics to New Labour) is available from the BBC site, as is a history of Scotland.
Hope you can find a moment to enter comments.
